Today I had my first of two baby showers. This one was for friends out here, the next one will be mostly family with a few friends back home. It was a lot of fun (with a stellar theme) and we received a lot of helpful things for baby! One included an infant carrier which we could not resist trying out on our fuzzy baby (don’t worry we’ll clean the cat hair off before real use). He actually liked it, a lot!

People have been asking if I’m ready for it to end yet and honestly, no, not really. I’m happy he’s safe, warm, portable and quiet still inside me. It fascinates me that I don’t really have to do anything to keep him growing. Well we had to do something ;-) And I have to eat right, exercise and drink lots of water. Besides that his whole development is kind of on auto pilot, how cool is that!


I am excited to meet him, but as of right now he can stay in there as long as he likes. I’m not that uncomfortable yet, albeit a little achy, and it does take serious effort to roll out of bed. If you ask me again in a month I’ll probably have a different opinion though.
