So it’s that time again, my two year contract is up with Verizon in a few weeks. I’ve been doing research for my “upgrade.” I like how they convince you that you need the phone change and what a great opportunity it is to pay them again for a new phone. This time I kind of am in need of a new one though, the plastic casing on mine is cracked at the hinge again. The third time it’s happened. The first time Andy bought a dead version of my phone off of ebay and did a little surgery by putting the phone in the new case. And then a few months later it happened AGAIN, the same hinge started cracking. Andy said he wouldn’t fix it again (and I don’t really blame him) but he surprised me by getting another cheapo dead phone off of ebay and repairing mine.
Well the hinge broke a third time, and now I’m really looking forward to switching phones on October 23 (yes, the exact date I can get a new one). Now I’m not particularly rough with my phone, it does get tossed in my purse a lot, but the hinge shouldn’t break in the same spot three times.
I really had my eye on the Samsung Rogue, but was disappointed to find out that a data plan is required with it. I’d never use it and definitely don’t want to pay for it. So after a bit of research I settled on this funky little guy, the Nokia Twist.
