Christmas #2

by Heather | 0 comments

Sunday we visited with my mom and Paul and his side of the family.

Ben wanted to share his Christmas cookie with Paul.

Pat and baby Natalie.

Brody did not appreciate being dressed up as Santa.

Champ is such a big dog but he was so good and relaxed with everyone there.

Ben enjoyed having a big brother to play with for a little while.

We had such a fun night. Thanks to Trisha and Ben for hosting :)

Coolest crayons ever!

This week we received a Christmas package from out of state friends. Among the goodies inside were snowflake shaped crayons made from candy molds. They were so pretty!

Ben loved holding them, stacking them and coloring with them. Andy even got in on the action!

Christmas #1

This past weekend my dad, Leslie and kids stayed with us for our Christmas. We just relaxed and enjoyed time together Saturday, then Sunday we did brunch and presents.

Watching Elf. “Cotton headed ninny muggins!”

Kitties checking out the presents.

One of Ben’s presents was a talking dinosaur. Everyone wanted him to show them how it worked but he was paranoid everyone wanted his toy. (He’s recently picked up the “Mine” syndrome). So he ran into the other room to play with his new dinosaur by himself, silly boy.

My dad loves the movie Despicable Me so we got him an army of Minions. Cutest movie ever :)

I blew up and framed this picture I took of my dad and Ben. We gave it to my dad and Leslie for their house.

So excited that most everyone was able to be together for our pre Christmas Christmas. Love you guys!

Thanksgiving

This year we had our Thanksgiving meal at Andy’s parents’ house.

Ben in his Thanksgiving getup. Somebody’s eyes are seriously changing from blue to a muddy blue brown.

Playing cars with grandpa.

Chatting over dessert.

We stayed with Andy’s parents for a few days. The weather was beautiful on Friday so Ben and Andy had a bit of fun outside.

This is very serious business.

He had so much fun riding around with daddy. Incidentally the gokart is WAY too small for Andy :)

Friday night we made gingerbread houses at my mom and Paul’s cottage.

Justin “helped” Andy decorate his monstrosity. It was all frosting by the time they were done.

Saturday we visited Andy’s aunt, uncle and cousins. I’d actually never met them before. There were three little boys for Ben to play with and they got along great.

Ben loved the train that went around their Christmas tree!

More trains!

Smooched by Aunt Judy (Andy’s mom).

Lots of little boys :)

Kevin, Anna and Easton (plus Charlie)

Last year I took newborn pictures of my friend Anna’s baby. Easton is turning 1 in a few weeks and Anna asked if I could do family pictures for them again. Definitely! I had so much fun with Kevin, Anna and Easton in their backyard. It was SO windy that day and their dog Charlie tried to photobomb the pictures, but I’m really happy with how they turned out. Such a cute family :)

Ben is 2

We had Ben’s second birthday party this weekend. Just a small group came, mostly family, Ben doesn’t really have a ton of little friends yet. It was a loosely done Cars theme. Loosely meaning, he’s two…how all out do you really need to go? I made invites and mailed them out to people like two weeks before the party, but luckily people still came :)

I used some fabric from Joann’s for the table cloth. Throw in some balloons, fruit platter, some pizza and you’ve got yourself a birthday party.

I think this picture is hilarious. Andy’s mom confiscated his nerf gun before the party started and went on a rampage ;-)

Uncle Justin and Auntie Kate.

Eli, Heather and baby Casey. We have Casey’s picture on our fridge and Ben walks by it and says “kisses, baby Casey.” He didn’t quite connect that THIS was baby Casey though.

Ben isn’t the greatest with sharing and poor Easton wasn’t allowed to play with any of Ben’s toys. Easton would go for something and then Ben would run over and say “no no no” and try to take the toy back. In a brief moment of Ben distraction, Easton did eventually get to play with the digger in peace.

Sorry, I got a picture of the ladies while they were eating.

We had a slideshow of Ben pictures running in the background.

My friend Becky made the cake, it turned out so awesome!

I felt SO bad cutting into it!

“Nummy cake”

Family picture. Cheesy grins from Ben :)

Ben was so wiped by the end of the evening, he turned into zombie baby. Happy birthday little buddy!
