We went to the zoo with Andy’s parents, Becky and Jared last weekend.

And now a couple of cute ones taken by Andy’s dad. Becky and Jared <3

This is the double stroller I found at the dump. Victor dump for the win!

Sister Day

Danielle, Gabby, Kate and I all met in Lockport this past weekend for Sister Day and to celebrate Danielle’s birthday. We ended up doing the tour of western New York and first visited Cream and Sugar, a cute little cafe in Lockport.

Next we headed to The Tattered Tulip, an antique store in Newfane.

Next up was Bye’s Popcorn in Olcott!

And then Black Willow Winery also in Olcott.

Then we headed back to Lockport for a wander around the good ‘ole Erie Canal.

We ended back at Andy’s parents house for dinner afterwards. They had even watched the kiddos we were out for the afternoon. Love these ladies, so happy I get to call you my sisters :)

11 months

Cassidy’s 11 months old! She has 8 teeth and uses them to chomp on anything from pizza to pasta and fish and fries. She eats everything we do (don’t worry, the fries are homemade sweet potato fries not McD’s, not that they would kill her, but annnnyway). Hopefully we get a break from the teething soon, although it has been nice to just get a good chunk all done at once. We took Ben’s pacifier away at 11mo (we’re so mean) so this would be the time we’d of taken Cassidy’s too if she’d used one. Part of me is glad she didn’t, once less thing to deal with later but it would have been really nice if she could have used it to comfort herself. Maybe she would have slept better?
She is sleeping SO well these days though, from 7pm to almost 6am. Actually like clockwork she usually wakes between 5:53-5:57am, unless she wakes at 5 which has happened a few times. Sometimes I’m able to nurse her and put her back to sleep but most of the time she is bright eyed and bushy tailed and ready to go. Naps have greatly improved too, I can usually get a 1 hour morning nap and 2 hour afternoon nap out of her. So thankful, it’s been a long time coming.
She’s said “Hi Daddy” (Eye Dah dah), super cute! Squeals at the kitties, I’m hoping it’ll turn into a word soon. She now intentionally drops things and says “Uh oh!” little stinker.
Crawling really well, although she still drops into an army crawl sometimes. She’ll pull herself up to standing if you hold out your hands for her. She hasn’t really pulled herself up on a table or the couch yet. She’s a late bloomer with these things I guess, but that’s ok too.
A hiking we will go

My birthday was Sunday (yay!) so we headed to Ontario County State Park in Naples for some hiking, picnicing and geocaching. Ben loved looking for all the little geocaching treasures and filled his pockets up with chestnuts and acorns along the way. I found them in the bottom of the washer the next day ;-) The park was really nice, hardly anyone was there. Lots of easy trails for Ben, gorgeous look outs and a really nice playground and picnic area. I had an impromptu photo shoot with the kiddos too (warning, there may be way too many in this post). We had a great time and it made for a perfect birthday afternoon.
These two :)

I want to remember lunches with these two little ones. Crazy, loud, messy, exhausting, wonderful afternoons.
