The bummed part is that I got sick at the beginning of this weekend – throwing up, dizzy and other not so yummy things. I was supposed to run in the Rochester Relay marathon this morning and didn’t get to because I still felt terrible. :-( I was hoping I’d feel better by Saturday night, but it just wasn’t happening and I ended up calling coach Andy and telling him I wasn’t going to be able to make it. Major bummer because we’ve spent months training, learning how to run effectively and building up the miles. I started out not even being able to run a mile, and came soooo far. Didn’t get to show it all off at the race, but I’m thankful I was introduced to the world of running! It’s fun (torturous sometimes) and I really do enjoy it. I guess there’s always next year for the race! I still feel a bit crummy and wiped out, but at least I’m not throwing up any more!
The not so bummed part is that I got a copy of the True Blood score this weekend. Oh man, I’m so in love with what composer Nathan Barr has done – it’s a gorgeous collection of music. The only instruments he used were Guitar, cello, electric bowed guitar and piano – and they just work together to form this gritty, rich, deep deep South, magical feel. Too perfect! It almost makes me want to learn how to play cello – *almost*
