He lays like that naked on the changing table too ;-)



Goodness Ben, you’re 5 months old already! You really, really want to crawl and get very frustrated that your arms and legs are flailing but you aren’t getting anywhere. You can move yourself in a circle, but haven’t gone forward yet. You’ve almost got the hang of sitting, but still kind of slowly fall forward if not supported.



You’re really grabbing at things now…my face, hair, papers I’m holding…all of it trying to go in your mouth. We haven’t started solids yet but you’re definitely interested. You watch us very carefully when we’re eating and you’ve started making chomping motions with your mouth. I did puree some avocados and sweet potatoes so those are waiting in the freezer for you. Avocado ice cubes grossed daddy out, but it doesn’t take much to do that ;-)



You’re still a pretty mellow guy, sleeping and eating great. You have had a cold the past few days and definitely don’t like the snot sucker. Even though you’ve been sick your attitude hasn’t changed at all and you’re still smiley and yourself. I love spending days with you, I’m certainly wiped out by the time you go to bed, but I’m thankful I get to be your mommy. [insert “awe” here]
