Amidst holiday traveling we’ve done a bunch of “little” house things. It’s always the details at the end of projects that seem to take the longest, but I love our house and am very thankful for it! The office is 90% complete I’d say, we just need to put trim around windows, doors and the ledge. Of course that’s as simple as measuring, buying pine board and trim, cutting, priming, painting, painting 2nd coat, nailing into place, filling nail holes with wood filler, setting any nails that didn’t go in thoroughly, painting over the wood filler and caulking seams. Easy, right :)

I moved my computer down into the office. It’s still an explosion of stuff though.

Andy’s going to build me a bookshelf in the cubby on the left.

The kitties love sitting in the window sills.

Everything was in the center of the room so Andy could install baseboard trim.

Looking into the family room downstairs. It’s kind of ground zero for projects.

It usually looks something like this. I’ve been painting trim the past few nights when Ben goes to bed.

Andy nailed it down in the office. So pretty! It’s never going to be this white, clean and shiny ever again! I think this is the truest representation of the green walls too.

He also installed the door separating the office from the storage room. Still needs to be stained and polyurethaned but it’s definitely a beauty!
Hard to believe the office used to look like this. Home to a moldy hot tub, mice, a leaky roof, river running through it when it poured and no heat. I always saw the vision of what it could look like, I just had no idea how we’d get there. Good thing we have Handy Andy (and family and friends who love us enough to help). Or pity us and our living conditions :) You guys must have thought we were crazy when we bought the house! Well, maybe we were a little crazy :)
