Let me preface this by saying we’re not really potty training. Ben is very into poop and farting (thank you daddy for that fascination…) but I don’t think he’s ready to actually potty train. And quite frankly, I’m not ready to go all gusto about it either.

So that said…

Ben has a little potty I got on sale a while back. Since he loves running into the bathroom with me, I thought he might like to sit on his own potty. He loves it. I mean LOVES sitting on it. Gets this big grin and plays with his cars for a minute or two. The one day he was sitting on it and I thought it’d be fun to sing a song. You know, isn’t that what you’re supposed to do when kids are on the potty…keep it fun and entertaining? Randomly, the song I started was “Jesus loves me this I know…” Well, Ben thought that was great and started “Jesusing” along.

Except now, every time he goes in the bathroom he asks for “Jesus.” It seems Jesus has become synonymous with potty time…
