Watermelon anyone? That’s kind of what I look like right now. Only about a month and a half to go, eek! I’ve been going to the drs every week now, partially because my blood pressure was getting a little high and they wanted to monitor me. It’s been consistently medium high (130/80ish) the whole pregnancy but spiked a little bit around week 32. I’m not sure what it was before I was pregnant, probably would have been a good idea to know that. I’m back to my medium high levels now though so I’ll go back in two weeks and that will put me at 36 weeks.
Baby classes finished up last week. They were actually pretty helpful and really gave us a better idea of what to expect. It’s still the “unknown” but not so dark and elusive now. Next week is the nursing class, hopefully that will arm me with some helpful info as well.
Overall it’s been a breezy pregnancy, no issues at all, I’m incredibly thankful. I am starting to retain a bit of water and my wedding rings don’t fit anymore so I’ve substituted with another larger ring. Baby is head down and facing the right direction, so he’s all ready to go (in a few weeks…). I thought I’d be more freaked out about hearing he was good to go, but honestly it makes me happy and I’m a lot calmer than I thought I’d be. As I told Andy, “it’s no joke any more, this kid’s coming.”
And apparently we did a patriotic color palette this week. Isn’t the burgundy just delicious on the blue sunporch wall…or maybe I’m nuts…
