What’s going on around here

So our town has a recycling/garbage/brush disposal center affectionately called “the dump.” Instead of paying for garbage removal, you can take your trash and recyclables there. Well Andy LOVES going because there’s always something interesting to bring home ;-) He’s brought home lawn mowers, fixed and sold them. We’ve found some fun street signs and stop signs that are hanging in the garage now. Andy’s found 2x4s, big sheets of drywall and other materials that have gone into the house. He’s brought home flat screen computer monitors and other computer parts. The town provides free mulch for residents in the spring and summer. Basically, it’s awesome. Andy totally took the cake though when he found a 42″ plasma TV last weekend. And get this, it works. Well, worked. It worked for a few hours when we first hooked it up, but kind of stopped working after a while. He’s ordered a few circuit boards online that are due in the mail this week, and I’m sure he’ll be able to work his magic and get the TV working :)

Notice the new TV cabinet in the background? We got all excited when the TV worked, that we just had to go out and and get an appropriate flat screen TV table. It’s so pretty, I LOVE LOVE LOVE mission style furniture :)

In other news, the first coat of spackle is up in the sunporch! I taped all the seams today and Andy followed with the spackle. There’s a bit more to go, but we’re getting there!
