Our first Christmas celebration was with my mom, Paul, Justin and Kate. Everyone came here for a Christmas dinner, presents and gingerbread houses in mid December. It was such a nice night!

Our church did kind of a unique holiday dinner this year. It was called a progressive dinner that started at our house with snacks and appetizers, moved to another house for the main meal and then finished at a third house for dessert. It was a lot of fun, there were a LOT of people in our living room and play room, haha. I love opening up our home and sharing with friends.
I didn’t happen to grab any pictures from our house, but this was the dinner table at house #2.

Ben had his first school concert! It was so cute, 3 or 4 PreK classes combined to sing some holiday songs in the auditorium. Ironically Ben’s favorite was the dreidel song ;-) He was such a ham on stage, smiley and doing all his hand motions. The teachers were great too, they had such patience with them and really helped make the whole event run smoothly. Looking forward to many more school concerts!

We had a Christmas party at the MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) group I’m a part of. We’re a small group of ladies but have so much fun.
Some of the dads in church help us with set up and tear down.
Actually everyone in our Pastors family helps out too :)
Our family photo would have been cute, except Andy’s placement of the prop makes them look more like male anatomy than reindeer antlers. Oh well, we tried ;-)

The second baby shower held Thanksgiving weekend was put on by Justin’s side of the family. My mom, Leslie, Gabby, Danielle and I all pitched in to make it a special afternoon for Kate. Gabby and Danielle were in charge of favors and decorating and I have to say it was like a Pinterest explosion, super cute things everywhere! Leslie organized and I helped with planning and created the invitations. My aunt Denise made the delicious cupcakes too. My mom finished “the” baby quilt and gave it to Kate, it matched the little doll cradle one perfectly.

Thanksgiving weekend Kate had two baby showers. The first one was held at Danny Sheehan’s and put on by her side of the family. It was a nice treat to be invited, enjoy the time with friends and family and watch Kate open some gifts. My mom made a little quilt for the cradle that Kate had played with as a girl too.
