That’s a big Heather! 36 weeks now and still growing. I remember around 28 or so weeks thinking “I can’t possibly get any bigger” and the nurses at my doctor’s office teased “You just wait” :) By the way if anyone wants a recommendation on a Victor/Farmington/Canandaigua obgyn…I LOVE them and highly recommend them. Let me know if you’re interested. They have branches in Greece and Penfield, but I just love the Farmington office. All the doctors have been great too, they’ve had me cycle through all them so I’ve at least met each one since anybody could be on call when the time comes.

The not so awesome part is that my blood pressure continues to get a bit higher. Like I said previously it’s been consistently medium/high the whole pregnancy but this week it reached 140/88 (ouch). I haven’t had any other symptoms of Preeclampsia or HELLP syndrome (please google them, it sounds bad but I really don’t feel like explaining what they are again). I also haven’t had any protein in my urine (yummy) which is something else they watch for. As a precaution I went to the Penfield office to get an ultrasound and non stress test for baby, where they hooked me up to some machines and just monitored him for about a 1/2 hour. Results from those (and the blood test they had me get) all came back normal. He’s not under any stress or experiencing any problems due to my high blood pressure which is great! So I’m just supposed to take it easy and drink lots and lots and lots of water.

Besides that I’m doing well, definitely sore and waddling but nothing to complain about. I promised myself that I would not complain about pregnancy for a number of reasons. Mainly there’s just no reason to complain about it, consider yourself lucky enough to be pregnant and growing a little person.

We also picked a pediatrician a few weeks ago, so we’re all set with that!

I was actually only supposed to get one ultrasound done (at 20 weeks) but since all of the above resulted, I ended up getting another pic of baby out of the whole ordeal! He’s actually cute now and doesn’t look like an alien. He’s very cheeky :)
