You know the one where the new mom complains about her weight and how saggy she is. Ha, no just kidding, I try not to use the blog as a complaining platform ;-) There’s too much to be thankful for to complain, that just wouldn’t be cool. I will say I’m 10lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight and am starting to exercise again so I’m not worried about things. I did have to go buy a bunch of new shirts though…since I’m nursing all of my old shirts were hilariously too short ;-) I mean little 9 year old girl size too short! Pre-pregnancy jeans do fit although they look a little painted on, so I bought 2 new pairs to get me through until they fit again.
I’ve gone back and forth about joining the Y again. We’d been members for a few years and then canceled our membership at the end of my pregnancy because of the high blood pressure, I wasn’t supposed to do anything but sit on the couch. And I wouldn’t be going back for a few months after I had the baby anyway. But for $90 a month for the family membership, I just can’t justify it. They have a TON of fun family activities, the pool, rock climbing wall, adventure center for kids…but honestly, Ben doesn’t really do any of that stuff yet. So I think it’d be a waste unless we had more kids and they were older.
So I’m going to do this the old fashioned, no gym membership way. I’ve been doing aerobics with step and started running again (although there’s a bit more walking than running). Paired with eating a few less leftover Christmas cookies, I’m excited to get back to feeling like “me” again!
