Ben you’ve been “outside” longer than you were “inside” :) You’re crawling really well now and have definitely picked up speed (although you’re still not fast enough to catch the kitties). You also pull yourself up to a stand and even walked forward a few steps while holding on to the couch. You always try to make sure I’m watching when you, looking around for me to try and get my attention (and waiting for the hysterical clapping and “Yay Benjamin” that follows). Baby gates are up and the crib mattress has been dropped down.

We still nurse three times a day but you pretty much eat anything now (except for peanut butter, acidic fruits, milk, honey…the no no’s). You love table food and get excited when we pass you some of it during meals. You get SO EXCITED when it’s time to eat, you love your food! When meal time is done you also burst into hysterics, even though you’re obviously full. You have your two front bottom teeth and I think you’re working on the top ones because you’ve started drooling like crazy again.

You know the meaning of a few words, I can tell by your reaction and the fact that you look at whatever I’ve said. You know dada, mama, dog, kitty, car, drink and apparently nana ;-) You can’t say most of those back of course, but there are definitely some wheels turning in that little head of yours.

You still don’t like to be put down and would prefer mom hold you all.the.time. When you are left alone though you play fine by yourself. Your favorite toy is this ridiculous circus elephant that has a bunch of things to hide, chew on and tug. You love the little peanuts attached to it and will dig through all your toys to find those things.
