(Almost) 18 months

Ben is one busy little guy. He has a bunch of teeth (I’m not even sure how many now). He eats so well, I’m very thankful. He uses his spoon fairly well (although it’s messy and time consuming). He doesn’t really get the point of his fork yet (or it’s too hard to stab things). He’ll grab food with his hand, put it on the fork and then eat it.

New words and phrases include:
Bobot (robot)
Nigh nigh (Night Night)
Wheeee (when pushing cars or throwing toys)
Buh bye poopy (when dropping his poo from cloth diapers into the toilet, ok, gross I know)
Mama cup (mama’s cup)
#$@! (“block” unfortunately comes out as a bad word, haha)
No no no (continues to be a personal favorite of his, even though I really don’t say it that often, or repeat it like that)
Bowl
Spoon (he also calls forks a spoon)
Bahd (Bird)

He loves to dance and has the sweetest little smile. He also runs up to the tv and shouts “Elmo, Elmo” when I turn Sesame on. There’s only been a few demanding/flip out/screaming for Elmo instances (in which we did not end up watching Elmo, haha). He doesn’t really get the point of puzzles yet and just likes gathering all the pieces together in the back of his toy truck. He knows the difference between trucks and cars when he sees one. If a particularly loud truck goes down the road he points toward the window and says “tr, tr” (truck).

He love, love, loves playing outside and exploring the yard. He’ll run around (more like waddle run) and gather sticks into a pile. He listens fairly well, but doesn’t really stick by my side or hold my hand if I try to lead him somewhere. Coloring with chalk is fun! So are crayons. I only had to tell him twice “no mouth” when he went to chew them. Afterwards he would bring them up to his lips, pause, and then start scribbling again.

His surgery eye is much better, just a little redness/puffiness left. The crazy eyebrows are still working well though :)
