This past weekend I went to NYC for the first time! It was a whirlwind weekend, a lot of walking and adventures were crammed into a few days but it was a ton of fun. Gabby’s musical at FIT, Canal Street, Chinatown, the Statue of Liberty, Trinity Church, Ground Zero, Wall Street, Central Park, Times Square and everything in between…I barely scratched the surface.
One of the more powerful parts of the weekend was seeing Ground Zero. It was odd, so many years later, to see a random blank spot in the middle of the city. Eerily, I knew something was supposed to be there but it just looked like a construction zone with a giant hole in the skyline.
And then I came home to a surprise from Andy :)
